Despite saying I was not going to go to DragonCon this year, I snuck up anyway.

I drove up on Friday just in time to get my gear stored with Jeremy, Krys, and Jasmine and then go stand in line with them for 2 hours to see the live performance of Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog. OMG it was fantabulous! Especially the fan girls/boy! They had all the props and everything. We were way in the back of the HUGE theater but it was still great cos they had a spotlight and we could actually see what was going on. The only real complaint I had was that the guy playing Dr. Horrible seemed to do everything backwards from what was happening on screen. But other than that it rocked. I really hope they do it again next year! (Ziggy?)

Afterwards we were told we could stay for BHPS (yay!) so we moved up to the venter of the theater for that show. I gotta say, Ziggy, Terry, and Brian, that was probably the best performance I've ever seen!!! You guys nailed it! Again, the only complaint was that whoever was playing Giles , while he did a great job, just didn't seem to match up to the rest of the cast. And wow at Dawn! I think that's the first time I've ever seen anyone play Dawn and actually do the "ballet" moves!

Unfortunately, we missed the last 5 minutes because Jasmine had been feeling sick all day so we took her back to the room. I did manage to catch the video on YouTube though.

Anyway, after dropping Jasmine and Krys at the room, Jeremy and I went wandering around the Marriott to do some people watching. I managed to forget my camera but I think Jeremy got a few decent pictures with his phone.

Saturday I woke up late and went to the Firefly/Serenity panel. Nathan Fillion is so awesome. He had some little sound effects machine that he'd start playing with after anyone on the panel answered a question which made the panel that much cuter. And Oh.My.God. Morena Baccarin is so damn hot! She has short hair now, and just, yum.

Sadly, after the panel I had to pack it all up and head home again so I could get to work on Sunday :(

But next year I'm hoping I can come for the whole weekend and actually hang out more!

I've actually been "dating" someone. Like, exclusively. That's a huge step for me since I generally think that humans are not meant to be monogamous, but this boy is awesome so I decided to give it a shot. We've been seeing each other for about two months and decided to be exclusive last week. We'll see how long I can keep it up.

What else is happening? Not much. I like my job a lot. I'm finally getting used to Florida and it's crazy dinosaur sized bugs. My new boy and I are going to Orlando this weekend so we can hit up the Universal Parks and Sea World for Memorial Day. I'm dying to ride The Hulk and Spiderman! In September,

_thir13en_ is coming to visit so we'll be heading back to Orlando to hit the Disney parks. I'm totally macking on this Florida residents discount! We've decided not to go to DragonCon this year, and instead, assuming I've saved up enough money, I'm flying out to California for Comicon!!! I'm sooo excited.

( And now for some TV ramblings )

And I guess that's about it for my big update. Shocking, I made a real post and not just a meme (which will be posted in a minute :P )

I need new icons, but since my paid account expired, my 50 something icons are all still there but not accessible. Guess I need to delete them all and start over :(

The one-day content strike is on for this Friday, March 21, from midnight GMT to midnight GMT.

For 24 hours, we will not post or comment to LJ. Not in our own journals, not in communities. Not publicly, privately, or under friends-lock.

This is a protest that will have long-lasting effects, showing up forever in the daily posting statistics.

This is a protest that will not harm LJ in the long run, as leaving LJ might do.
